Training programs

Capacity building

We are currently working with our partners to develop training programs designed for a range of stakeholders to bridge knowledge gaps. Our initial focus is on student learning as well as capacity building for startups and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

According to our analysis, there is a big skill gap in sustainable finance and impact investing with very limited opportunities for students to learn the basics of integrating environmental, social, governance and impact considerations in business planning and investments. Similar issues of lack of skills and knowledge are often cited by businesses as a key barrier to accelerating their sustainability transition. Creating tailored training programs in this area will help companies in BC and Canada grow and scale with a sustainability and impact mindset. Our training programs and other supporting activities targeted at students will also influence and educate the leaders of the future.
